An Advanced Nurse Practitioner(ANP) has undergone additional masters degree training in order to provide an enhanced clinical service for the patients. They can assess, examine, diagnose, prescribe, order investigations and make referrals. They provide treatment for both acute and chronic conditions and have an expert role in helping to manage and live with long term conditions.

Ramona has worked in the acute setting for many years specialising with the transplant team. She is also a qualified Health Visitor with an interest in Minor Illness.
Our practice nurses work as part of the primary healthcare team providing treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education. Appointments for the nurses are available to book up to two months in advance.
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as blood pressure checks, spirometry and ECG’s.
Tricia works with the nursing team supporting many of the clinics.
Our Phlebotomist is available for appointments for blood tests every morning throughout the week.
Sue works with the nursing and GP team. She is only able to take blood tests that have been requested by a clinician. If you are unsure if you need a blood test please speak to reception before booking.
Oversees the smooth running of the practice and its efficient service provision. She welcomes constructive suggestions and is happy to deal with your complaints.

Our patient administrators provide an excellent service to our patients. They manage the day to day running of the reception area within the surgery and undertake multiple roles behind the scenes to ensure patient safety and the smooth efficient running of the surgery.
Our administrations are responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including registration and deduction of patients, dealing with patient records, a comprehensive secretarial service and running regular searches and practice audits.
The community midwives work with the doctors to provide care before and after delivery and for the baby in the first 28 days of life. They are available for consultations on:
- Pre-conceptual care
- Postnatal advice
- Antenatal examination
- Breastfeeding

The district nurses provide care to patients in their own homes when they are unable to attend the surgery.
They are no longer based at the surgery and must therefore be contacted directly on 01223 885 474.
The health visitor team offer a service to families with children 0 – 5 years of age. They are interested in supporting families with health issues.
